Red Valentino | Spring 2014 | Ready-to-Wear Collection

I am so in love and inspired by the Red Valentino's Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear campaign that I had to share it. I just adore the way the background flowers are showing that hand-drawn, watercolour effect which I love to replicate in my work. Simple, almost careless, marks build up to layer around the flowers to make it "come to life". I would love this design as a wallpaper.

As for the garments, well, what can I say, they are just breath-taking. I would like one of every piece please! The girly look that designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have created make me so excited about what you can do with print when you put it together with beautiful fabrics to come alive in fashion, but also slightly sad as I would never be able to afford anything as amazing as these.

Inspired by "a sense of wonder and curiosity," the designers went whimsical, calling on ballerinas, butterflies, and blooms to set the fanciful tone.
Decidedly playful, this outing certainly skewed young, but a closer look revealed beautiful, grown-up touches—like a subtle thistle print woven into a knit top and embroidered leather flowers on the collar of a monochrome coat—that are sure to appeal to those in full bloom.
